We were referred to Paula (Desa) … from a friend. My family and I were having a tough time training our 4 month old golden retriever. She would only train and listen to us with treats. Let’s just say the family was stressed! We got our puppy to Paula at 6 months old, and after a month of training with Paula, we have a puppy who can train and listen to us without treats! Paula helped us so much and we cannot thank her enough!! The stress has left our family and day by day, things continue to improve. Mountain Pet Resort is clean and dog friendly- we plan to use them for our boarding as well.

Crystal completed the training program with Paula (Desa). She is a year old Labrador who was very high strung and had no manners at all. She had a very hard time staying engaged without becoming distracted. Today is the first day I have her back home with me and she is doing amazing. She is calm and listens and is very solid with her commands. I used to need to put her in her crate at certain points during the day to catch my breath and be able to do household things. Today she was not in her crate at all. She is even being more accepted by my 14 year old pup since she is so much calmer.

I am amazed by the results and because of her success with this program, I just sent my other two, 2 year old Labradors to complete the same training.

Paula (Desa) has helped our family so much this year! This summer our family grew by four paws when Tallulah, a German Short Haired, joined us in north Georgia. My wife and I considered ourselves “competent” dog owners as we have had several dogs in the past. However, we were pushed by our energetic little puppy from the day we brought her home. We thought that we know how to train our little puppy! However, after a few months of being frustrated we researched the local dog training options around Clarkesville.

We found and selected Paula based on the feedback we had heard and read on line about Paula’s work. My wife and I are so glad that we worked with her! The three week program helped both ourselves and our puppy! The training from Paula has helped Tallulha focus like she could not before. The methods that Paula taught us have helped us out a lot ( by this I mean the verbal commands and tones she worked with us on). I am not saying that we have the perfect dog now by any means, we still have our work to do every day. The good news is that we now have the training and tools we need to be happy pet owners!

Paula (Desa) was terrific in working with our dog on obedience training. He learned all of the commands and gained confidence that translated lots of other area like meeting people, riding in the car, etc. Highly recommended.

Paula (Desa)… did wonders for Phin and Pharrah!!!! Our home was so stressed and literally the boarding/training decision was my last attempt. A week into training, I called to check on my fur-babies and Paula informed me that Phin was scared of the training room floor so she was ordering a rug… She never gave up hope and her determination was contagious. The facility was always clean and our dogs adored Paula whenever we stopped by for visits/training. There are not enough words to express our appreciation as we clearly have order back in our house. We recently had our pup, Remi, obedience trained... It was definitely worthwhile. She learned basic commands that are already making her be a better member of our family. We do continue to work daily with Remi so that she(and her parents) don’t forget all that she learned from Ms Paula (Desa). She might even be SMARTER than her parents now! Lol! We were talking to our vet about our English Bulldog needing obedience training and they recommended (Desa). I called and talked to Paula (Desa) about her program and liked what she said so we scheduled a time for Spike to start. I must say in the 3 weeks Spike was there Paula did an excellent job! Spike was well cared for and actually learned faster than anyone thought he would be a Bulldog. I highly recommend Paula …for training … your fur baby!
